The Blue Star 29.9 was designed by Mark Ellis and is built by Bruckman Yachts in Ontario, Canada. Recognized for his excellence in design and elected to the NMMA Canada Boating Industry’s Hall of Fame, Mark Ellis is recognized for his timeless and innovative designs. His resume includes Blue Star, Limestone, Legacy, and Pilot powerboats. Bruckmann Yachts has been building boats for over 40 years and is one of the most respected builders in North American. Well known for both custom and semi-custom power and sailboats, Bruckmann combines old world skills with modern construction and technique.
The Blue Star 29.9’s traditional lines and tumblehome transom insures a timeless look. Her deep V hull guarantees a smooth, soft ride in rough and sloppy conditions without sacrificing comfort. Powered by twin Yanmar diesels, the 29.9 achieves a 24 – 26 knot cruise. Her 27” draft allows her to go places were many other yachts of her size cannot go. Visibility from the helm deck is excellent throughout the entire RPM range.
Her spacious layout is unencumbered by bulkheads and enhanced by varnished solid teak, traditional joinery and a teak and holly sole. The interior includes a galley, dinette, enclosed head with shower and a vee berth forward.
A modern classic, the 29.9 has spawned the 36’ MKII and the 43’. Following in the tradition of the 29.9, these models offer expanded accommodations and features.
